Which Are The Safest, Most Affordable Used Cars For Teen Drivers?
If saving money is more important, there are several factors that affect the cost of insurance. Bigger cars tend to have bigger engines, which is a surefire way to increase premiums, but custom modifications like spoilers or wheels tend to increase insurance costs too.
On the other hand, alarms, immobilizers or other built-in safety features can make it harder to steal a car and lower insurance costs.
Alex Kindred of Confused.com says that adding an older driver, such as a parent or guardian, to insurance can also reduce costs.
Although the age of the car can change the price of insurance, it is not a guarantee. Older cars tend to be cheaper, so they're cheaper to replace, but they have fewer modern safety features, which can also put them at risk.
