Pennsylvanians who qualify for a credit on property taxes or rent paid in 2021 will receive a one-time additional credit starting in early September 2022. The one-time bonus will be 70% of your original bonus.
If you have already filed your rebate application for the 2021 claim year, the PA Department of the Treasury says:
"You do not need to take any additional action to receive your temporary rebate. Once you have submitted your rebate application for the 2021 claim year, the Department of Finance will take care of all the on the back. Pennsylvania homeowners and renters may qualify for the state's Property Tax/Rental Rebate Program, which provides $650-$975. The deadline for submitting applications has been extended until December 31, 2022.

Residents of Bexar County and San Antonio who make less than $80,000 a year and have fallen behind on their mortgage or property payments due to the pandemic can get help through a new federal grant program.

The Texas Homeowner Assistance Fund Program, with $842 million in funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, will pay $25,000 in property taxes and up to $40,000 in mortgage and other payments for qualified residents.
Applicants must own and occupy their home, be in arrears on their mortgage or property taxes, have financial hardship (lost income or additional expenses) related to the pandemic, and be able to 100% or less of Area Median (AMI) or National Income they must earn AMI - whichever is higher - to qualify.

That means up to a family of four earning $79,900 a year, according to an estimate from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Income levels increase for large families; $80,050 for a family of five, $86,000 for a family of six.
Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemptions By State And Disability Rating
Although there is some money available to households earning 150% of AMI, the majority of federal funding goes to those earning 100% of AMI and mortgages. More than $80 million is earmarked for property tax relief. Payments are sent directly to the mortgage servicer or tax authority if the homeowner's application is approved.
The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs launched the program statewide in early March and staff at the Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector's office have been asking residents for the money for about two weeks, said the Tax Assessor- Collector AlbertUresti.
The office has helped more than 200 people apply and sent 15,000 letters to eligible residents, Uresti told Bexar County commissioners at an informational conference about the program Tuesday.
The Tax Assessor-Collector's Office essentially acts as a receiving center for the state program, but does not have an official state contract, which may provide the office with additional funding for staff and outreach. Uresti said the program was too important to wait.

"Our mission at the tax office is to help keep families in their homes, help our seniors, our disabled, our veterans and ultimately our children," he said. "It [goes] with what we're trying to do."

"We will be sending an email today to all delinquent taxpayers in the county informing them of the details of the program and making sure they are aware of its existence," said Hamilton County Treasurer Jill Schiller.

The property owner must live in the home (no rentals, Airbnbs, or second homes) and must provide proof of lost income during the pandemic. Payments within six months from March 2020 may be covered.
"We're taking care of paying property taxes that are saved through the program," Schiller said. "But it's for people who don't have a mortgage or pay their property taxes separately from their mortgage."
"There are some questions about the use of funds paid directly to a government agency," Schiller said. "But because it really helped the homeowners, we were able to order the Prosecutor's Office to investigate it.
Hamilton County has distributed more than $22 million in rent and utilities since July 2020, helping a total of 7,736 households. County and Cincinnati officials are experiencing large backlogs of rental assistance applications.

Kevin Holt, interim assistant director of Job and Family Services, says it's still a problem; On average, it takes 45 calendar days for a tenant requesting assistance to receive payment, and the goal is 10-30 business days.
"So the important message is this is not an emergency program," Holt said. "Not only is the loan paid back with rent and utilities, but we pay months in advance. So if you want to come to us, give it time, and then we'll bring the big dollars to the table, but don't . came to us at the last minute.”
"Whether we've reached everything we want to reach, that's another question," he said. "And so we're really trying to get the media out there in all kinds of places so people can hear about it, because we don't want to leave money on the table."
