Boulder Station Casino Las Vegas Nv - Boulder Station Casino is not in the heart of Vegas, no matter what the PR department says. One of the city's many outlying station casinos (including the more popular Sunset Station and the better-located Santa Fe Station), Boulder Station is known as a major hangout for locals. Primarily inspired by the working-class spirit of Sam's Town, Boulder Station is also known for its no-nonsense attitude and decor, cheap buffets, and sparse rooms. However, when you venture further from the high street or downtown, the lower prices sell for more. Boulder Station is nice enough, though convenient enough — it's a bit bland, even by Vegas standards.
Of the many casinos outside of Las Vegas, Boulder Station has historically had one of the hardest times attracting guests, gaining a reputation as the biggest local hangout. You won't find the same people in Monte Carlo or Caesar's Palace or even the Gold Coast. Retirees and working-class workers flock here at night, with a small number of out-of-towners looking for a small place to lay their heads.
Boulder Station Casino Las Vegas Nv
The rooms are clean, modest, and not without their charm — but anyone looking for a Vegas vacation will be sorely disappointed by the Boulder Station Casino. In fact, there's little about the hotel that suggests you're in the gambling capital of the world – if it weren't for the constant clatter of slot machines and bustling waitresses, you could be at almost any casino in the country.
Boulder Station Hotel And Casino Review: What To Really Expect If You Stay
But the trademark of many casinos outside of Las Vegas is rough around the edges — and it's not like you're far from the action. Just four miles from the Stratosphere at the northern end of the Strip, it's easily accessible by rental car or taxi if you don't have your own vehicle. Just because it's a casino mostly for locals doesn't mean Boulder Station Casino should be overlooked as a worthy destination for exploring the sights of Las Vegas. Although its interior offers little more than utilitarianism, Boulder Station's proximity to the downtown area makes it even more attractive when you consider the many Las Vegas casinos across the street. Plus, it doesn't touch like its neighbors—it doesn't try to be the most popular, or the most exciting, or the most family-friendly, or any of the niche markets that other hotels try to target. Boulder Station Casino is similar to what you'd see in Vegas, and for many it's a refreshing change. And if you ever get restless and want to get back to the city you see in the movies or on postcards, the Las Vegas Strip is just seconds away.
