Residential services accommodate a diverse population of adults through site-specific environmental design, personalized support focused on areas of need, and support staff training. Staff are provided on a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week model, with varying levels of intensity and demand.

Residents who live alone (or as husband and wife) in separate houses they own or rent. Residents receive ongoing or periodic support in financial management, health and nutrition, relationship building, and strong relationships with people in their communities. The Life Skills Activity Team offers tours throughout the week.

The organization's Disability Day program for adults consists of recreational, social, educational and behavioral training for people with intellectual disabilities.
We have five locations in Vancouver. People in our program experience greater independence and a higher quality of life through participation in community-based social, recreational and professional activities.

In Drop-In, people participate in activities of their choice. Each day a variety of activities are offered, from one to four hours in length for independent adults living with their families or on their own. Jobs West is the supported employment arm of the DDA and has been operating since 1985. Jobs West helps adults with intellectual disabilities prepare for, find and secure community-based employment opportunities.
