In previous years, international students could use a PGH or another "foreign" program that did not meet ACA standards to be exempt from the SHIP category requirement. Starting this year, international students at Georgia Tech cannot withdraw from PGH or any program that does not comply with the ACA. The required student insurance premium is automatically added to the tuition fee and if the submitted waiver is approved and the premium has been paid, the GT Bursar Office will refund the fee.
