Pharmaceutical Companies In California List - Last week I had the opportunity to attend a conference organized by the American Association of Bangladeshi Pharmaceutical Scientists (AABPS) in Bethesda, Maryland. At the conference I spoke with people from the pharmaceutical industry and the FDA. During that conversation I discovered that most of the people who work for pharmaceutical companies are located on the east coast of the country and surprisingly there are many companies in the country that I have never heard of. Sensibly I asked myself, "Are most of the pharmaceutical companies on the east coast or how are they all over the state or why haven't I heard of those company names"? A quick search for "our pharmaceutical company" on google gave me several links. Among other things, these two websites (drugs.com and rxlist.com) are helpful, and drugs.com contains more information so far. So, I started saving information about all the companies, including their addresses from drugs.com using python.
Here is a snapshot of the code I wrote, but won't share the entire code here to keep the post short.
Pharmaceutical Companies In California List
This code gives me the idea that there are 404 companies listed on the website. So, I started collecting business addresses from links. There are about 80 links that are grayed out and what I found is that they are either acquired by or part of a large company. So, that leaves me with about 320 links. In my first attempt, I saved 262 company details, including name, full address, website, and links to career pages. With other companies it gives me the information (name and address) of only a few companies. Then I added some data manually and created the information of 308 companies and their physical addresses in the country.

Now I take these 308 physical addresses and find their latitude and longitude using a python library called 'googlegeocoder'. Then I made my first map with the python library 'folium'. Now I wonder, how can we find the top pharmaceutical companies on the map?
Next, I googled for the top pharma companies, and it turns out pharmexec.com is a great source of 50 Pharmaceutical companies. Since they are listed as images or with their respective company logos, I can not use my coding skills. But I still want to answer the question. So, I had to collect data manually as I worked to block the western blot membrane with nonfat milk in the lab. During my research for information about pharmaceutical companies, I discovered that a large number of companies are using artificial intelligence (AI) to discover drugs which was reported in an article titled "33 Pharmaceutical Companies Using Artificial Intelligence in Drug Discovery". That's why I'm curious to see the map to find out which companies use artificial intelligence.
