A Hawaiian furniture store is taking the Las Vegas "ninth island" moniker to heart with its first mainland location in the valley.
Valyou Furniture has opened a showroom at the Tivoli Village Mall, marking its third retail location including two in Hawaii. He plans to host a grand opening on Tuesday.
The brand focuses on affordable luxury by offering shoppers stylish, contemporary home accessories and furniture at different price points, said Eddie Castillo, chief marketing officer. The showroom showcases a variety of style options, from industrial to beachy.
"Having a millennial perspective on furniture is fresh and innovative, that's why people gravitate to us," Castillo said. "In other showrooms, you might feel like everyone is trying to sell you something or the prices are too crazy; it's too much of a sale. For us, it's more, 'We'll help you to live your best life by accepting you. what you need.'" Feel free to sleep in bed.

Valyou chose Las Vegas for its first continental US location because of its proximity to customers and its cultural connections. Products can be easily transported from Las Vegas to California and Texas, where many e-commerce customers live, and the Valley's many Hawaiian and Pacific Islander residents make the product a natural fit, Castillo said.
"Even though it's in the desert, it's a very small, cohesive place," he said. "So to be called by the community is amazing. We see it as another island that we are a part of."

Interior designer Amina El Kadiri says the service is popular with clients who are unsure how to complete their projects or who cannot afford a high-end design service.

"It's very strategic," El Kadiri said. “We work with them from the beginning to the end of the process in the store. They can see the construction materials, they can come in and have a meeting in the store so they can see it when we finish the work you did."
Valyou bases its inventory from six brands, including Mario Capasa, Ohdome and Lemons & Me. It has a selection of more than 10,000 items, the company says, and its prices are aimed at giving customers a lot of variety. For example, the dining room table on their website ranges from about $200 to about $1,500.
"We believe that jewelry is not for a select few, it should be for everyone," he said. "Being aspirational furniture, something you see in newspapers and on TV, you just want to pursue to have a type of New Age furniture without sacrificing a price."
