Nellis Air Force Base Nevada - United States Air Force (USAF) Air Show. The show is hosted each November at Niles Air Force Base near Las Vegas, Nevada.
Being based in Niles means that the USAF Thunderbird Display Team usually performs at this air show as their last display of the year at their home base. Since Nellis is the USAF's head of fighter training, the display may include the Air Force's newest aircraft, such as the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II.

This air show is a three-day event and is open to the public for the last two days. Guests who cannot normally access the base can park at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and ride a free shuttle bus to the base tarmac to view static aircraft displays, fly tours, watch booth weddings, and watch air parades. become

This exhibition started in 2002. The 2013 Aviation Nation air show was canceled due to federal budget cuts.
Aviation Nation returned in November 2014. There were no shows in 2015. The theme of the air show for 2016 was "75 Years of the Air Force" and it was held on November 11-13.

The largest solar photovoltaic power system in the United States was erected Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Niles Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 140-acre installation has 72,000 solar panels. San Jose, California-based SunPower installed the system in record time (less than six months) and is supplying the solar panels, which will generate more than 25 million kilowatt-hours of energy annually for the base.
