Our stay was as expected. We booked the family suite, which is actually just an L-shaped room with 1 king, 1 queen and a pull-out couch. The extra space is nice, but it doesn't provide extra space in the package for the king. It meets our needs very well. Definitely better than a standard two queen room and given the reasonable rate we would book here again. I'm not sure there really is another property in McMinnville that can provide a better option for additional space for a family. Strangely, there is no option to have breakfast because they have not yet prepared breakfast due to the covid epidemic. Other reviews have noted how other chains have succeeded, but not sure why Red Lion hasn't. McDonald's is right next door, but obviously that's an extra cost too. Indoor swimming pool, laundry room (coin charge) all located on the first floor with vending machines. Beer, wine, other stuff for sale out front, but nothing fancy. You get what you pay for in this property. I will stay here again in the future and hope to restore the COVID facility.

For covid it says you have to wear a mask but there is no law. Also no one cleans the counter after each guest. The pool is closed and there is no free breakfast anymore. The air conditioner in the first room didn't work so they moved us. The parking lot was full, but the Suite 201 room was beautiful and large. Too expensive for accommodation, but very close to the rural exit for travel
Nice motel, clean and comfortable. Just across the street from the Museum of Aviation. Within half an hour of a winery we wanted to visit in the Willamette Valley. The city has a variety of restaurants and tasting rooms around it. With continental breakfast, swimming pool with jacuzzi. The only negative is that the walls seem very thin.

I stayed here with my husband and son for an overnight trip. I had originally made reservations at the Comfort Inn across the street, but after checking into the Comfort Inn and getting ready to swim, we discovered the pool was closed. My son was really upset because swimming in the pool was all he wanted to do and the only reason we stayed one night in town. I called the Red Lion to make a reservation and 20 minutes later I was greeted by polite and understanding staff. The room was clean, the pool was open and warm, and the breakfast the next morning was perfect for our needs. I should have booked here from the start. I would stay here again with my family.
Staying in a room with a jacuzzi, downstairs at the front of the hotel, is not a place of tranquility or R&R. I visited for two nights while being treated at the treatment center across the street. It was nice to be able to swim in the pool and soak the sore body part in the room. The highway noise is constant from 5am until late, but I didn't expect the construction workers staying at the hotel to be allowed to park a cold, noisy, diesel truck right in front of our window. ! Oh, I just want to hear them start it at dawn, to warm up, after a sleepless night! At 3am some drunk guy rang my car alarm and it took me a while to realize it was my car. I am a disabled veteran and since needing surgery and walking with braces it has become harder for me to walk so I never thought I would have to go back and forth from my room to the lobby over and over again just to get coffee! What a nightmare! No joke... No coffee maker in the room! Also, there was no way to tell what was playing on any TV channel, so I couldn't sit back and watch any of my shows for two long days and nights! The breakfast was good and there was a lot of yogurt. Since I paid to have a junior suite with a hot tub, I planned to soak in the hot tub while watching TV, - too bad I couldn't find a TV there! The man behind the desk had no knowledge of the area or what was going on in the area. Bed - The bed is super soft and plush and comfortable, with lots of pillows! The room had a table, but no fixed place and no Bible.
Room Tip: It's just a crimson lion next to a busy street and a McDonald's.
