Discount Tire Salisbury North Carolina - CONCORD, N.C. () - A 27-year-old employee was shot and killed while working at Discount Tire on Saturday in Concord.
Police said Terrence Cabilin Wallace, of China Grove, was shot and killed during a fight that sparked an hours-long standoff.

Concord police said Jeremy Monty Spann, 39, of Lynchburg, South Carolina, walked into a tire store armed. After a nearly four-hour standoff, Spann was arrested and Wallace's body was found inside.
Spann has been charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Concord Police spoke with store employees who informed them that there was still an employee in the store with a gunman.
Police said the crash began shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday. More than four hours later, and after negotiations, officers said they were detaining one person, identified as Spann, without further incident.

During the press conference, police said that after taking Spann into custody, they entered the business and found Wallace's body.
"At this time, we do not know the motive behind this incident," Concord Deputy Police Chief Jimmy Hughes said. "Hopefully we will be able to determine if the suspect is cooperating with us."

Spann is being held in the Cabarrus County Jail. After a bail hearing Monday, he was being held on $2 million bail.

"We want to extend our condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to those at Family Discount Tire who experienced today's tragic events," Hughes said.

Vic Scott, who was staying at the Country Inn and Suites across the street, witnessed police swarming the Discount Tire.

"I was walking and there were police cars everywhere," Scott said. “There were some armed policemen going through that door over there. It was very sad because they didn't know it was their last day on Earth."
