Red Lion Inn & Suites Mcminnville, Mcminnville
Our stay was as expected. We reserved the family suite, which is actually an L-shaped room with 1 king, 1 queen and a sofa bed. The extra room is nice, but it doesn't provide extra room for the king when the doors are closed. It suited our needs perfectly. It's certainly better than a standard room with two queens and a decent value that I would book here again. I'm not sure there's really another property in McMinnville that offers a better option for additional space for families. Too bad you can't have breakfast because they still don't serve breakfast due to COVID. Other reviewers noted how other networks got it, not sure why Red Lion didn't. McDonalds is very close by, but that is of course also an additional cost. Indoor swimming pool, laundry (paid by coins) - all on the first floor with vending machines. Beer, wine and other things are sold out front, but nothing special. You get what you pay for with this property. Will stay here again in the future and look forward to restocking after COVID.

For Covid it says to wear a mask, but not forced. Also, no one cleans the counter after each guest. The pool is closed, the free breakfast is no longer available. The air conditioner in the first room didn't work, so we were moved. The parking lot was full. But number 201 is really nice and big. Overpriced for accommodation but it was convenient to be so close to the exits of the city to travel
Nice, clean, comfortable motel. Right down the street from the aviation museum. Half an hour from the wineries we wanted to go to the Willamette Valley. The city has many restaurants and tasting rooms. There is a continental breakfast, a swimming pool with a jacuzzi. The only downside was that the walls looked quite thin.

Stayed here with my husband and son for the night. I originally booked a room at the Comfort Inn across the street, but after checking into the Comfort Inn and getting ready to swim, we found out the pool was closed. My son was very upset as swimming in the pool was the only thing he wanted to do and the only reason we stayed the night in town. I called about the Red Lion to purchase a book there and was greeted within 20 minutes by friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, the pool was open and warm and the next day coffee was good for our needs. I would just book here anyway. I would stay here again with my family.
Being in a room with a hot tub on the bottom floor of the front of the hotel was NOT the place to fully relax or unwind. I checked in for two nights while I was being treated at a medical facility over the road. It was nice to swim in the pool and relax aching body parts in the room. The highway noise was constant from 5am until late at night, but I didn't expect the hotel to have construction workers who were allowed to park their COLD, NOISY diesel trucks right in front of our WINDOWS! Oh, I just love to hear them start them at dawn, Warming, after a sleepless night! At 3am some drunk guys set off my car alarm and it took me a while to realize it was my car. I am a disabled veteran and it has become more difficult for me to walk since I needed surgery and walk with a brace, so I never expected to have to LIMP back and forth from my room to the lobby, over and over and over. just FOR COFFEE! What a nightmare! No kidding... there was NO COFFEE MAKER in the rooms! Alas, there was no way to tell what ANY of the channels were showing, so I couldn't relax and watch ANY of my shows for two long days and nights! The breakfast was good and there was plenty of yogurt. Since I paid for a junior suite with a hot tub (lol), I thought I'd soak in the hot tub WHILE watching TV - too bad I couldn't get the TV to turn me on there! The kids in the office didn't know about the neighborhood and what to do here. BED - The bed was SO SOFT, LUXURIOUS and comfortable with tons of pillows! There was a desk in the room, but no writing implements and no Bible.
Room Tip: It's just an old red lion next to a busy road and a McDonalds.
