There is a small point on the right side of the campsite which is only a few hundred meters from the site. Bring your small wave gear on board or full foam as this cruising roller needs a solid WSW or WNW to really work.

Carpenteria State Beach is the closest campground to Rincon, Queen of the Beach. It's an 8-minute drive to a world-class right-hand stop, and if you're looking for a quick session or to avoid the crowds, there are convenient stops at the campground.

EMMA WOOD STATE BEACH offers primitive additions to fully self-powered vehicles. Tents are not allowed. The only reason we had a VW bus was because we went in at sunset without reservations, and there was no park ranger to check us.
In the morning, after confessing our sins of absolute indifference, they gladly accepted our camping fees and told us that we could not stay another night. We were glad we went under the radar because it's such a cool camp.

LEO CARRILLO STATE BEACH in Malibu has wonderful campsites nestled in a small canyon surrounding the beach. Set up camp under some Sycamore trees, then head to the beach for an afternoon/sunset surf session and/or lounge party.

The Best Rv Camping In Baja California
In the North you have Church, Middles, Trestles and even bigger waves. Directly in front of San Onofre Surf Beach, you will find yourself among a sea of solid longboards surfing at Punt, Carts and Dogpatch. And to the south, accessible via hillside campsites, you stretch your peaks along several miles of coastline along Routes 1-6.
SAN ELIJO STATE BEACHES Off the Pacific coast in the Encinitas area, Cardiff Bay to be exact. Like San Onofre, the campgrounds here fill up quickly, so you'll need to make reservations in advance. There are a few stops in front of these blocks so you can have a look.
Low tide is usually better. Longboarders and shortboarders alike share the fun-filled coves of San Elijo State Beach. You will also find yourself between the two iconic stops of Cardiff Reef and Swami, north and south of the campsites.

PLASKET ENGAGE The Great Souris are a camper's paradise. The campsites are wild and spread out (if you want more space and privacy set up a site outside!). Sand Dollar Beach is a 5 minute walk away, where you will find a long stretch of white sand beach. The water in Big Sur is so clean and clear, and the coast is wild and rugged, you will be amazed by its beauty.
Big Sur is a very majestic place. So don't expect to score an epic surf. But rest assured, the stunning views and sheer beauty will draw you in like no other and make the world seem better. the whole year. NW swells can occur from October to April, SW swells from April to October.

MORRO BAY STATE PARK is a quick 5 minute drive to the famous Morro Bay Rock and surf break. Morro Bay faces west, so it receives NW and SW swells, making it a year-round surf break. The primary pit can offer longer and better lefts and rights on most days. If you don't want to compete with the crowd closest to the cliff, head north along the sandy beach and find the highest point where there are few people.

At the end of the day, watch the beautiful sunset over Morro Bay Harbor with a glass of craft beer. When you get back to your campsite, earplugs can come in handy, as the Morro Bay SP campsites seemed a bit cramped without much foliage or sound in between. We felt the anger of some loud party neighbors. However, the tall eucalyptus trees on the site are beautiful and the campsites are well maintained.
ANCHOR BAY CAMPGROUND is a private campground located along the Mendocino County Scenic Highway. You will be surrounded by native redwoods, shrubs and other shorelines. The grounds open to the half-mile long beach of Anchor Bay. The site is about a 3 hour drive from San Francisco.
WITH THE RICH HALF MOON STATE, if you're one with the elements, this is your place, because you're sure to get the full NorCal experience of a windy, foggy, crisp, wet morning when you stay here. Kelly Ave is one of the best and most consistent spots in Crescent Bay, and you can camp in a tent that directly overlooks this beautiful stretch of beach. It is about an hour south of San Francisco.
