PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (December 16, 2022) – Pulaski County works year-round to serve its citizens through partnerships with state and local agencies to collaborate on projects.
Public works officials repaired 1,100 lanes of roads in the city, repaired 2,214 potholes, dug 2,200 meters of right-of-way. , carried 2,390 cubic meters of garbage, removed the waste of trees from the landfill. Our Sanitation Department cleaned up 884 illegal dumping sites, collected 2,944 tires and responded to more than 4,000 vehicles as requested by residents. Pulaski County continues to bring in an average of 22,000 pounds of recycling from our buildings annually.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (December 14, 2022) – The Pulaski County Parks Crew recently completed renovations to both Hensley Park and Woodson Fun Park.
During the summer, the Parks Crew focuses on beautifying community parks around Pulaski County, trimming leaves, removing trash and other maintenance tasks. The next step is to repair and/or upgrade the playground equipment. Most playground equipment has deteriorated over time or been destroyed.
"We have now begun to improve the park's facilities to provide the surrounding community with a safe place to play and spend time," said Pulaski County District Judge Barry Hyde.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (December 13, 2022) - Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde and local leaders gathered to celebrate the completion of the renovation of the iconic One Riverfront Place building in downtown North Little Rock.
In his speech at the celebration, Judge Hyde said this project is not only a victory for North Little Rock, but also for Pulaski County.
"Pulaski County has established itself as a regional leader for employment opportunities and job creation, and now we have an iconic location for employers to call home," he said.
Overlooking the historic Argenta district, Simmons Bank Arena and the Arkansas River, One Riverfront stands as an anchor for the area's business community. The purchase of the building last year, led by Lefler Capital, led to major renovations.

According to Lefler, the building is already 95% occupied. US Bank, the property's previous owner, will remain in the building.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (December 2, 2022) – Pulaski County has scheduled the first of many informational meetings about Pulaski County Community House, an affordable housing community for the chronically homeless. The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13th at the Iron Horse Church starting at 5:30 pm.
The county is setting final dates for two additional informational meetings to be held in early 2023. The meetings will be held at different locations to give community members near the community center more opportunities to learn more about the community.

The Community House project is modeled after the successful Community First! A village outside of Austin, Texas and located off Green Road in Pulaski County. The project will be an eco-friendly micro-village and micro-house, providing quality, affordable and permanent housing for people who are experiencing chronic homelessness. The property will include a health clinic, community kitchen, business center and more to ensure growth and stability for its residents.
Future villagers must complete the application process. Residents will have the opportunity to earn a decent income that will help them pay rent, which is a necessity to live in the village. Chronically homeless people are the target population of this village and sex offenders will not be allowed in the village.
The community village will follow the community first! The philosophy of the village is that housing alone will not solve homelessness, but that having The community will. The model focuses on combining high quality, permanent housing and a strong culture of personal development, support and connection.
The county is responsible for developing the project, then a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization will be responsible for overseeing the home. No non-profits have been selected yet.

The selected nonprofit will partner with existing organizations such as Our House, The Van and Jericho Way to provide resources to the homeless community in Arkansas. The government is expected to start construction in early 2023, and the community house can start accepting immigrants in End of 2023.
