New York Non Resident Concealed Carry Permit - There are a lot of states that enjoy good reciprocity hidden across the nation, and then there are states that just can't catch a break. If you are a resident of a state that doesn't like such large travel destinations, you can always pursue a non-resident permit from the state.
Wait times can vary dramatically and do not expect to receive an immediate response within 7-10 business days. Do not assume that a course you may have taken for your resident concealed carry permit will be recognized as appropriate for a nonresident permit. Go to their issuing authority's website and find out specifically what documents they require from you before enrolling in any courses.

Arizona - Arizona is widely considered a constitutional carry state. It still gives non-residents an awesome concealed carry permit that's accepted in 30 states. This is a good non-resident permit if you want to travel throughout the southwestern states.
Idaho - Although Idaho is now considered a constitutional carry state for residents, it still has wonderful reciprocity with other states through its enhanced nonresident license. Currently 32 states recognize that permit as valid and include states along the coast and the Midwest.
NORTH DAKOTA - It's a popular travel destination during the summer months, and who would have guessed that North Dakota would have such a wide correlation to its non-resident concealed carry permits? Currently, 34 states recognize North Dakota's nonresident permit, including states like Pennsylvania and Delaware that can be particularly picky about who they allow to move out of state.
Tennessee - Tennessee offers a wonderful nonresident concealed carry permit that has very broad reciprocity with other states. Currently, 34 states recognize the Tennessee process for determining who must carry a concealed firearm. With a Tennessee nonresident concealed carry permit, you can travel from the coast of North Carolina to Seattle and only need to disarm if you pass through Illinois, Colorado, and Oregon. Utah - Many firearms instructors offer courses sold toward a Utah non-resident concealed carry permit. It is honored in 30 states, but requires a decent amount of training and background material. However, since it is offered so often, it is best for those interested in moving to the continental United States.
Virginia - A non-resident concealed carry permit is probably the easiest to obtain in Virginia and is reciprocal with about 29 other states. Despite the Virginia Attorney General's threat earlier in the year to tear up their reciprocity agreements with other states, they have remained true to offering the most competitive nonresident license in price and level of commitment that many people find. Enjoyable.
