One of the most recognizable resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, the Venetian Resort Las Vegas is inspired by Italy. It is best known for its covered canals and gondola rides. It is modeled after the city of the same name, but its spacious interior showcases the diverse architectural styles and beauty of the Renaissance. And it is one of the most impressive looking hotels in a city of decadent hotels.
B Sale Of Venetian Properties On Vegas Strip Complete
The huge complex that is part of it also includes its sister hotel, The Palazzo, and together form the second largest hotel in the world, The Venetian and Palazzo, along with more than 7,000 rooms and suites. The Grand Canal Shoppes, 4 theaters , countless nightclubs , dayclubs, dozens of restaurants. and meeting place
As The Venetian is a high end property with all suites. Prices for entry-level rooms tend to be slightly higher than many of the resort's competitors, usually around $150 per night in the off-season. However, due to the recent pandemic, prices in luxury hotels across the country have dropped and The Venetian has seen its starting price fall slightly.
Just found a standard room for $127 a night. This is a great value as the Luxury King Suite is an entry level accommodation. I have been in this hotel many years ago. So there is a certain notoriety. But I am especially curious how the resort is operating given the new COVID-19 restrictions.
The State of Nevada has enforced strict COVID protocols at all hotels and resorts in Vegas. But each property has gaps in how these rules are interpreted and applied. I am curious how The Venetian will comply with the broad policy on their website. including how the steps compare to other popular high-end options like The Wynn, where I recently stayed.
The Palazzo Las Vegas
I went on a busy weekend and even dined in one of the restaurants to feel the level of safety. Overall I had a very good experience. Most facilities outside the cinema are open and operating with a reassuring level of COVID safety. While less steamy, The Venetian has a stunningly spacious interior. And it was a comfortable and pleasant stay that I would definitely recommend.
The excitement The Venetian aims to deliver begins as soon as I walk through the main entrance. The majestic architecture towered over me with every step. With all the beauty and frescoes on the ceiling as far as I can see. The gleaming marble floors are decorated with classic artwork. and great golden waters surrounded by classical musicians playing opera melodies.
Security takes the temperature of everyone entering the complex. And all masked employees are making sure everyone is following the state's COVID-19 protocols, including social distancing and wearing masks. safe inside Reception is a short walk away. which looks like a replica of St. Mark's Cathedral Though the mix of designer stores reminds me I'm in Vegas.
I arrived around noon. Although the official check-in time is 3pm, I correctly assumed it due to the relatively low occupancy rate during the pandemic era. So my room was ready early. There was a short line, with only one or two groups checking in before me. And I joined in almost immediately.
Venetian Resort Las Vegas Issues Reopening Statement
The front desk staff, as you would expect from one of the world's greatest hotels, were not polite at all. Apparently they are used to checking in a large number of guests while trying to keep the queue as short as possible. I was handed the keys with an introduction to opening and closing the resort in minutes.
Officials effectively described it as Like other major resort hotels Theaters and live entertainment venues have been closed. Restaurants will be open for indoor dining at 25% capacity to accommodate social distancing. The casino floor was secured with plastic screens. (Same as reception) and masks are mandatory in all public areas when guests are not eating or drinking.
I was also given a map of the resort complex, which proved to be very helpful given the sheer size of The Venetian and its sister properties. A short walk across the casino floor to the guest elevator.
Before entering the elevator side The security system allows all guests to collect their keys from an external key card sensor. They make sure all guests wear masks and have PPE stations with free hand sanitizer and spare masks. Signs warning people not to share elevators with those not in their group were rife.

The lifts are clearly arranged per floor. making it feel safer. It also means that elevator wait times, a potential bottleneck at these Vegas mega-resorts, are very short. The efficiency and dedication of all the staff is impressive.
I immediately noticed that my suite did not have the seal on the door like many hotel companies now do. But still it smelled very clean when I entered. My entry level luxury king suite was on the 32nd floor, which gave me a slightly better view than some ground floor rooms.
The size of the suite is immediately impressive. with many junior suites in other city center hotels Another nice feature is the split level room design. The bathroom and bedroom are on the floor I entered. while two staircases lead to a separate living area below. This is quite rare in hotel room design. and greatly improves the look and feel of the room.
This room is seductive with a gold palette with purple accents. It has a more traditional feel than many hotels in Vegas. Although it has some admirable modern design elements. The furniture is largely made of dark wood and wrought iron work separates the sleeping and living areas.
How To Get A Good Hotel Deal At The Venetian In Las Vegas
Two armchairs, a sofa and a desk make up the living room. along with a large retro oil painting. The thick gold and purple curtains on the decorative railings look stylish. And the fact that these blinds are electric and operated by remote control makes it modern. The windows let in just the right amount of natural light and offer a beautiful view of the valley.
While the rooms do not come with bathrobes or slippers, there are PPE kits in the form of free hand sanitizer and masks.
The bed is a large, luxurious king-size bed and fitted with pillows for a good night's sleep. I can't hear any background noise from outside or from the hotel. And the noise from the casino below didn't interfere. Although I can't say for sure what the ground floor rooms will look like. The bed is surrounded by a large, padded headboard and footstool. along with bedside lamps shining from the ceiling
The minibar in the room is full of items that will be automatically charged if you move rooms, but there is no room in the fridge for guests. This could be a shame for those trying to save leftover food from in-room dining.
Special Offers From The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas And The Palazzo® At The Venetian Resort
The bathroom is one of the most impressive entry-level rooms I've booked. A deep Roman-style dilapidated bath is complemented by a glass-enclosed walk-in shower. The double vanities have black polka dot marble countertops and resort brand toiletries.
This is an incredibly comfortable and well-appointed suite. especially for entry level rooms and moreover at a lower price than I can negotiate. The design and aesthetics are more traditional than some of the newly opened hotels in Las Vegas. But it's hard to imagine it going against anyone's taste. Most fixtures have a high-end but visual feel.
