On April 27, Olin was accredited from the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), completing review by all three global accrediting bodies, including the Association of Business Executives (AMBA) and the Collegiate Schools of Business Administration (AACSB). In addition to achieving the three accreditations, Olin is announcing several other developments in 2021 as the school moves toward what Taylor describes as the "third horizon" in business education.
As he sees it, the first horizon came in the spring of 2020, as educators quickly began supporting students displaced by COVID-19. The second occurred last fall when principals encouraged schools to "step up their game" by combining face-to-face and online learning amid the pandemic. Now that third horizon will come as Olin turns its sights to a new global business education.

"Delivering on this commitment, while completely reimagining the future of business education in a global and digital world, is our primary responsibility as a leader in business education. We just have to look beyond what we see and figure out what we have to do in the world's new normal."

These developments are in line with Oli's five-year strategic plan, released in December 2016 shortly after Taylor took over as dean.
The advanced graduate certificate and 30-month online MBA are the results of surveys involving alumni, teachers, and even industry representatives. Contributions from consulting giants and consultants such as Deloitte, McKinsey and Bain helped Olin managers recognize the need to instill technical competence, numbers and competitiveness in the next generation of business leaders.

For example, the new program is designed for people who: work in a digitally mature company or environment; seek to improve digital business skills; or those who want to lead digital transformation in a company or industry, including entrepreneurs.

An online MBA will cost $75,000 for just 2 and a half years. While its core courses will still be taught by the same faculty as Oli's private MBA program, the digital nature will change — especially the learning curves associated with last year's pandemic. The online approach allows for variations such as enhancing standard case studies with online, in-person cases and a large number of guest speakers.
The delivery facility for the Online MBA is the Center for Digital Education, a state-of-the-art facility that emerged from the school's strategic plan. With a full-time staff and eight studios, CDE collaborates with faculty, instructional designers, and multimedia experts to build its course curriculum for digital delivery, in addition to helping them use existing tools to present course concepts and guide them in creating digital assets.
