Jackson, Tennessee-based trucking company Ascend (CCJ Top 250, No. 143) has acquired Sauk City, Wisconsin-based Fuchs Trucking, the fourth trucking company that Ascend, formerly MilanSupply Chain Solutions, has acquired since launching in January.
Founded in 1955, Fuchs Trucking was originally involved in the transportation of livestock and timber products, but now serves customers in the building materials and furniture sectors with dry vans and 96 trucks. Its presence in the Midwest deepens Ascend's coverage in the region.
