Easy Way To Cut Grass - Early morning is probably the best time to mow. The morning dew will cover the grass. This can cause strain on the lawnmower and make the grass cut poorly. This will tear the grass. Messy and wet grass is the best entry point for diseases and fungi to infect your grass.
While there is debate over how important the time of day is when you mow your lawn, there is one time that is better than others. Most professionals agree that the best time to mow your lawn is mid-morning. The reason for this is that the lawn needs time to heal by evening. This means your grass needs a day to dry out and heal before nightfall.
Easy Way To Cut Grass
The theory is that mowing the grass when the lawn is too hot can burn the grass. So, if you have the option of choosing when to mow during the day, the best time of day is mid-morning.
Beginner Lawn Care Mistakes That Keep Lush Grass From Growing
While it's generally safe to mow your lawn in the afternoon, it's not ideal. In addition to having to work during the hottest part of the day, you will be putting stress on the lawn. But if it's a regular cut and doesn't cut more than the top third of the grass, you should be safe. However, if you fall behind the lawn and have to mow more than the top third, you risk burning the lawn.
The second best time to mow the lawn is midday. If you can't get there in the morning and don't want to burn your lawn, the afternoon is a great time to mow it.
Mowing the lawn too late is just as bad as mowing too early. Because when it settles at night, so does this snow. As with AM, your freshly cut lawn is susceptible to disease and fungal infections.
Most people don't know this, but sharp blades are more important than the day you mow. Seriously, make sure your blades are sharp!
Quick & Easy Ways
This may not seem important, but it really is. Sharper blades will affect the lawn more than the day you mow. Why so? Well... if your blades aren't sharp, the lawn will tear. Because dull blades won't make a clean cut, they tear grass instead! This makes it a great access point for disease and fungal infections.
Watch the slow motion video of a lawnmower below and you will understand why sharp blades are so important.
Now remember, if you are going to work with a professional service, you will pay a premium if you want your lawn mowed at a certain time of day. These professionals make their schedules according to the density of the roots. This means they make stops in the most efficient way while navigating neighborhoods, towns or cities.
So asking for a specific time will interfere with their schedule and you will have to pay extra. Take for example a St. Augustine lawn growing in Florida, it would be very difficult for a lawn service provider to bag all those clippings and dispose of them.

One of the most difficult tasks in gardening is removing grass to create a flower bed, vegetable garden or patio. There are many different methods you can find online that will help you from renting a sod cutter to putting cardboard over the grass and all the grass will die or rot by next spring.
I found a simple and effective way to remove grass/moss. It doesn't take up too much ground and it still works - much easier on the back/body than other methods I've seen and tried. I'm going to teach you how to remove grass, all you need is a pair of gloves and a simple garden spade. This is the fastest way to remove grass or cut grass/turf by hand.
Our vegetable garden is ~ 300 square feet or about 30 square meters. It is "small" in our gardens.
How To Lay Sod In 7 Easy Steps
With a little courage and patience, you can clear a large area by shoveling grass. I have tried many different methods and this is the easiest way to remove the grass. This method works best when you can cut straight strips of grass.
Start lifting the pad. Spread it gently to create a gap between the moss and the soil.
After that, just repeat the process until the strip is complete. I don't cut the spacers to width until I'm ready to remove them. When you work backwards, you can "hide" the cut you made earlier. It also changes the job a bit, making it easier in the long run.
The reason for the "reverse" operation is the leverage when you take the pads in the reverse direction. Specifically, the grass that you can use as leverage when you look up at the court while moving backwards. If you are working in a straight line, you will not have this leverage. The more effort it takes to lift the grass, the harder it will be on your back.
How To Mow The Lawn
You can use the removed compost to fill in low spots in your yard or give it to neighbors or friends. I was able to fill two large depressions in my yard, then top with topsoil (to level) and plant grass.
Watch our video below for more details and to see how it works. I'll show you how long it takes to clear a 12 x 36 foot flower bed. (It won't take as long as you think!)
