Tuscany Resort And Casino Las Vegas - On our trip to Las Vegas last year, we wanted a calm, quiet and low-key hotel compared to the hotels on the Strip. We came across the Tuscany Hotel & Suites, which suited our preferences perfectly. It may seem strange to those who walk here. We love the excitement and glamor of Vegas, but we also wanted a quiet place to escape.
It was a 5 minute walk from the strip (to the Bellagio and Flamingo hotels, so very central) but offered a slower and more relaxed atmosphere to escape the madness of Vegas.

Location: Hotel Toscana was quite spacious, which is quite unusual given the proximity to the Strip and the price of the land.

Instead of one tower, they had 15 (yes, fifteen!) three-story buildings, as well as a main lobby, casino, and restaurant building. This map shows all buildings. The red building is the guest rooms, and the green building is the lobby/restaurant/casino.
We asked for a room in the farthest building because I'm a bad sleeper and don't want to be woken up by loud people in the middle of the night. It worked well, but the only downside was obviously that it was more of a walk, maybe an extra 4 minutes.
Room: The hotel room itself was quite standard, without any particular complaints. There was a kitchen, a sitting area and two double beds. The only king bed available during our stay was a smoking room, so we opted for two queen beds.
The bed was comfortable, and the numerous pillows were fluffy. We came from Sunday to Thursday and didn't make too much noise to disturb our sleep. If you are a light sleeper like me, I would recommend choosing a room away from the lobby/casino building where there are a lot of visitors and away from Flamingo Street which was a busy street.

Washroom: The washroom was divided into two sections and I actually liked it. The toilet was in a small room closed by a door and the shower, sink and bath were separate. That way, you can shower while someone else is using the toilet, etc.
The shower pressure was great. However, the water temperature was very picky. A small adjustment and you go from warm water to extremely hot.
Amenities: I loved the outdoor pool and lounge area! It was relaxing and we came here several times to recharge. There were enough sunbeds for everyone (remember it's low season, mid-October weekday). The tap water in Las Vegas doesn't taste good, so I used the filtered water station by the pool.
Food: In addition to the casino and pool in the main lobby, they had 3 restaurants and 1 coffee shop. We only went to one restaurant, Marilyn's Cafe.

Marilyn's prices were very affordable and the portions were very filling. The chicken burger and fries pictured above were about $10! You definitely can't get that price for a tape.
Cons: These were only minor issues, not big enough to keep me from staying here again, but I try to be transparent and informative in my reviews.
Price: Most hotels in Vegas include a resort fee. The same was true of Tuscany. Including resort fees and taxes, I forget the exact price, but we don't pay more than CAD 100 per night. A great deal considering how close it was to the boulevard and how great the rooms and amenities were! (
Bottom Line: There were a few minor niggles, but overall I was happy with the hotel. I liked that it was quiet, not crowded, but a 5 minute walk to the boulevard. Don't get me wrong, we love the excitement of Las Vegas, that's why we came here, but it was also nice to take a break from it and recharge.

Late Arrivals - If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours.
