Terra Villa Apartments
Do not move here! Damaged by bubbles. No one in the office, no one to answer calls, emails or service issues. There is a lot of crime and there is silence. The police are always called. People are constantly fighting in parking lots. People were shot and killed. This place is always in the news. Even if you are disappointed. Do not move here.
I have lived in them since February 2018. In late February 2020, we were acquired by an assisted living facility outside of Long Beach, California that is registered as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The /best/ thing I can say about them is that they accept rent payments online - our last landlord did too. They don't answer the phones, they don't respond to emails, and they don't address technical inquiries. They do not discuss maintenance issues with the staff on site, they are only there to update when empty. In the 110F+ heat this summer, the AC in my building completely broke. When the lease is up in February 2021 they refuse to give me a copy of the new lease and ask me to sign what looks like the last page of someone else's lease. Six months later I still have no lease and pay month to month. Don't rent from here unless you are really desperate.
The lease expired in December. I automatically went from month to month. The rent went up by about $140. The pool could not be used for a year.

Aundrea and the office ladies look very nice on their first meeting. Don't be fooled. They are ruthless businessmen in this establishment. In person, they are very polite and will try to accommodate your complaints. But if you decide something is no longer good, be prepared to control or fight it. For example, one day they put out a new notice that said, "No pets on the porch. If we see a pet on the porch, we will evict you without question." This is the attitude you keep after signing. Do as we say or we'll threaten you with eviction. They work like this even with small problems. Because of this, I couldn't let my cat out on the balcony, even though I was on the third floor and she didn't bother anyone. I challenged them about the no pets clause I signed in the lease.
