Rated 1 out of 5 by Proline in less than 30 days and died Buy and install by WH. It took about 30 days and the gas valve died. Contacted Rheem service and was told it would be 2-3 days without hot water until the new gas valve arrived (shipped from US to Canada and installed). Note: If you did not email the Rem purchase receipt, the device's manufacturing date is used as the warranty start date. If I have the time, I will take the engine back to another manufacturer, because I have installed hundreds of water heaters (mostly John Wood heaters) and this is the first one that I have seen fail. Bad quality control or bad product, hard to tell. Time will tell.

B. e. K. This is a look at some budget hot tubs. I picked this up because it was so great and so close to my old compliment. Don't change too much when dressing. I found the instructions to be good if you read them carefully. Plan how to get the job done. Get the supplies you need before you start. Show what you're coming for. Gas, water and electricity. Everything should be 100% when finished. The tank is beautiful and works very well. 6 years? Who knows these days. Is the 9 year better or the same tank they charge more for? Guess you'll need to be pretty to fit one of these. Take your time. Get help if you need it. Good luck.

Spent most of the day trying to get Rem in Canada to ship a new part, but the amount is on the tanks for hot water and manual routes to the US. Finally at 4pm the US will send the part to us but it will take at least 2 days to clear customs??? Why couldn't they do it first thing this morning without telling us to call Remise Canada....why couldn't local depot give us a Canadian number when we went into the store yesterday? Home Depot Parts would not recommend this hard to find product.
Rated 1 out of 5 with gas smell from smell - Customer service failed! I bought this Rem 40 gal a week ago. Less than 24 hours after the technician completed the work, I noticed a gas smell coming from the Honeywell control. I searched online and found many people mentioning this, and in some cases customers have reported that the Honeywell control was replaced under warranty. My question is, how can I tell if the control is wrong??? I called Rheem customer service in Canada and (Jill is the supervisor) they told me that I heard a little gas coming out of the control. When I said I wanted to check out one of the artists, Rome said they would send it. It's been a week now and we haven't heard from the technician or Rem. We still smell gas and worry.

It's not for strong hot water, so don't buy it if you're looking for it. You'll pay double the price to get something close to this strength. Very easy installation, about $400 to $500 for a paid installation. Warranty - 12 years.

I called the home depot number on the machine and got no answer so I called a local plumber and they left the water on the machine with cold water.. it's monday 3021 and I'm still waiting for a new one from home depot it didn't work . and another in stock and they told me. I didn't get it until the week of September 6th.. I bought this unit because of the 12 year warranty and have had no problems getting my hot water back, unfortunately no one else can. I bought it at home depot Rem said under warranty only home depot can replace it.. a week without hot water is not normal. The product is good when working to replace the warranty.. Thank you

To restore the pump and replace the tank, the second replacement tank has the same problem. Home Depot said dealing with Rem, they have no service. He was not very satisfied.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cool Showers out of the box for this defect. It took 7 days to resolve the replacement with Rem...no hot water. I would avoid Home Depot to buy something like this because they will not honor the warranty once you leave the store…..leaving you high and dry if something goes wrong. After 4 hours on the phone with Rome I have to wait for a part to be shipped 3000 miles away. I have better things to do with my time.
If I hit the first anode, the tube and I'm careful not to hit the gas charge, is it safe to send a short circuit ... on its side?
