Next, a bottle of alcohol. You can use any brand. I went with Gora and Gora. If you don't have one at home, it's always a good idea to take one for the first aid kit.

Now you can rest easy knowing that you've created this amazing everyday shower cleaner, keeping your tub germ-free and smelling great. When we contacted Pine-sol a few years ago about the use of the washer, we were told that the original Pine-sol was safe to use on all machines, including HE machines. Over the past few months we have received mixed responses from Pine-sol, "yes, it is safe to use on all machines" and "it is not safe to use on any machine". The original formula bottle still lists laundry as its use, and so does the Pine-sol website. Due to all the confusion from the different responses from the Pine-sol team, we are changing our stance on using Pine-sol in laundry to remain cautious. Without a brief response from the Pine-sol team, we do not feel comfortable endorsing its use, nor can we officially recommend using windex on soft surfaces or mixing dawn and vinegar. Hopefully we'll get an official response from the Pine-sol team soon, but until then use it at your own risk. Instead of Pine-sol, you can try using Pinal. It has the HE symbol on the bottle, as well as instructions for using the cleanser in its original formula. Follow steps 1-6 below for Pinalene as for Pine-Sol. Sham-Sol in the washing machine? Sounds crazy, right? But people have been using Pine-Sol in their washing machines for years! You can also use Pinalen or another brand of Candle Cleaner if the label has cleaning instructions. The same steps apply below.
1. Only the original multi-surface Pine-Sol is safe to wash for colored items (anti-bleed materials). Other fragrances are not intended for use in cleaning. Scented versions can foam up, get into places it shouldn't go, ruin the electronics inside, and mess up the drain pump. **🇨🇦 Please note that this Canadian version of Pine-Sol does NOT have washing instructions on the label. However, it is completely safe to use in cleaning. 🇨🇦**
2. When clothes, towels, etc. are used in the Pine-Sol washing machine. helps remove and soften odors. It is also ideal for oily stains. You can rub it into the stain, usually add it to the wash.
3. 1/4 - 1/2 cup of Sham-Sol is enough. Use in addition to detergent. You can add it directly to the drum or washing machine with detergent. Do not add to the fabric softener dispenser. Safe for all types of washing machines, including Pine-Sol HE machines.

4. Pine-Sol DOES NOT DISINFECT or CLEAN when used at full strength on hard, non-porous surfaces.
5. Do not use Pine-Sol in a bleach dispenser. Mixing bleach and Sham-Sol in certain proportions releases toxic chlorine gas. Chlorine is highly toxic and can rapidly cause unconsciousness, respiratory arrest and death if inhaled. These cleaning products should be used separately, not in the same load.
6. Even if you don't use bleach, Pine-Sol recommends adding it only to the drum or detergent container. Adding bleach to the bleach section or fabric softener area does not ensure that it is fully cleaned and can react over time and damage your machine. Spring has long been associated with cleaning our homes. I think it's because, years ago, the houses had to be closed very tightly in the winter, to keep the heat. Heavy curtains were kept on the windows to reduce drafts. With spring came the opportunity to open the windows and allow
