Be very careful when renting this place. I submitted a request for a two bedroom listed at $1300 per month. Their organization started charging me $60 as an application fee. After I finished it, the hiring manager told me it was a computer error. And the real price is $2050! They will not honor the advertised price. Then when I asked about the error in calculating the standardized rent before I moved in, she said the computer dictated the amount and she couldn't fix it. This despite my detailed explanation of how the daily rate should be legally calculated. (Total monthly rate x 12, then divided by 365 days, then multiplied by the number of days remaining in the first month.) Their calculation was over $100 in favor of the rental office. She wasn't listening and blamed the computer. It shows a system of respect for any errors in the system as long as it benefits them. Very dishonest! Stay away from this place.

The apartment is everything we believed in after looking at it for over 10 years, we created it here. When I first saw this on the website I decided this was where we would make our new home after retirement and we were not disappointed. The administrative staff was very helpful in processing our request. I love the open concept it offers and the ambience it does not disappoint.
Boca Raton has a convenient location and 24-hour security. Almost everything is above code except for a few major flaws. 9 floors means it is a concrete building so noise from other units is not an issue. The first major drawback. There is no dryer hookup, so each unit has an all-in-one washer/dryer. None of them worked, even the ASKO technician advised not to use it because it will ruin your clothes. The washer/dryer smells bad, don't dry your clothes even if it's an item. Of course they have laundry facilities on the 3rd floor, but you have to pay. Tenants don't set their timers or leave their clothes in the washers or dryers which is a problem. Lately, even the washers and dryers in the laundry room weren't working. Clothes come out with stains and residue. Dryers take your money, but don't dry. Management refuses to acknowledge the problem. Also, if you are the only person doing the laundry (washing) in the utility room, you will think the dryer is at your disposal because you are the next to use the dryer. This is not the case as many people wash their laundry in their apartment and then take it to the laundry room to dry. So on some days you may not be able to properly sync your clothes from washer to dryer. Laundry is an all day affair in Boca. The second major site is hot water. Some sites only have return lines and no distribution. If there are empty units around you may have to wait 10-30 minutes for hot water. I have been without hot water for 8 months with no cooperation from my landlord or management to fix the problem or refund. Finally, the smell is a big problem. There is illegal drug use and dog feces everywhere in Boca and the administration refuses to seriously address this issue. I have completed a survey and reviewed the evidence and many unit owners are complaining about noxious marijuana smells in common areas. Sloths with dogs refuse to pick up. Also, there seems to be more crime than usual. Everyone I meet seems to have a problem with crime. i.e. a stolen bicycle, a motorbike damaged by an attempted theft, cars broken into. It happens on campus. I heard that Boca is fixing its video cameras now. (It seems their goal was to lock down the barn after the horse was stolen.) Management says the Metro Police cannot be called unless there is a security emergency. They do little to enforce regulations and nuisance laws and care little about tenants. However, a kind person is respectful, helpful and sympathetic.
A year and a half ago I went apartment hunting and came out with a fully furnished townhouse. I have lived in a rental almost all my life. This is my first time renting a property managed by the company. (I usually rent directly from owners.) The staff is professional and courteous. The property is clean and well maintained. Considering how many people live here, it's surprisingly quiet. 24 hour security does a great job of keeping unwanted people out of our private area. The walls are exceptionally thick, so you and your neighbors won't be in each other's business, if you know what I mean. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms look like spas. For those who like little space to cook, you don't have to worry as updated kitchens are loaded with space and counter space and storage. Although I personally don't take advantage of many of the amenities offered, I like that they are available. For the four-legged family members, you'll be happy to know that this luxury property is pet-friendly. I love that the building is pre-wired for cable and satellite. I've never been a fan of cable so having the option is a huge plus! The location is perfect. It's close but not too close to the madness of the Strip and only minutes from plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, malls and the highway. Living here, it's easy to forget you're in the desert.
