Two years in a row, the city has set a new record for September temperatures, and has also broken the top 100. For the first time, the high temperature was 100 degrees on September 2, 2019. History was made again on September 5, 2020, when it reached over 101 degrees.

September is known to be a dry and quiet month in Denver. Its current peak popularity may be good for those who want to keep their garden small, but not good for things like drought and fire.
