Verizon Canada Cell Phone Plans - Verizon on Wednesday announced a new wireless plan platform and several new features for its customers. The new plan is more expensive, but includes at least 30% more data than the previous offer, as well as new things like data transfer and security mode.
Apparently they just call it the new Verizon Plan and have 5 options: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and XX-Large. The Small variant costs $35 per month for 2GB (was $30 per month for 1GB), while the XXL gives you 24GB for $110 per month.

In addition to the new pricing, Verizon announced a brand new My Verizon app. Features include Flow, which provides everything you need to know about your data and account in one real-time, on-demand support and shopping, and easy-to-understand invoicing.

The carrier also introduces two new overage protections: data transfer and security mode. Rollover data is just what it sounds like - any unused data will roll over to the next month, and safety mode will reduce your speed to 128kbps for free when you hit your data limit.
Finally, there is international calling and roaming in Mexico and Canada. Verizon Plan XL and above customers get unlimited calls and texts from the US to Mexico and Canada, plus you can enjoy the plan (data and all) while visiting any country.
Verizon's new plan is available to new and existing customers starting today, but customers with older plans can choose to keep them (for now). While the plan appears to offer more benefits, it will likely increase bills for most users.
