Be very careful when renting from this place. I applied for a two-room apartment, which cost $1,300 a month. Their system started charging $60 for the application fee. After filling it out, the leasing manager told me that it was a computer error. Actual price is $2050! They are not going to honor the advertised price. Later, when I asked about the miscalculation of the prorated rent before moving in, she said the computer had set the amount and could not correct it. This is despite my detailed explanation of how the daily rate should be legally calculated. (Total monthly rate x 12, then divided by 365 days, then multiplied by the number of days until the end of the first month). Their calculation was wrong in favor of the leasing office by more than USD 100. She didn't want to hear about it and blamed the computer. This shows a pattern of respecting any computer error as long as it benefits them. Very unfair! Stay away from this place.

This apartment is everything we hoped for after seeing it for over 10 years, we finally did here. When I first saw it on the website I decided this was where we would build our new home when we retired and we were not disappointed. The management staff was very helpful with our processing application. I love the open concept and unassuming environment it presents.
Boca Raton has a prime location and 24/7 security. Almost everything is above code except for a few major bugs. 9 floors means it is a concrete building so noise from other units is never an issue. The first major error. Each unit has a universal washer/dryer so there is no connection to the dryer. None of them work and even an ASKO technician advised not to use it as it will ruin your clothes. The washer/dryer smells and doesn't dry the clothes at all, which is one thing. They actually have a laundry room on the third floor but you have to pay for it. Very awkward because tenants never set their timers and put clothes in washers or dryers. Recently the washers and dryers are not working in the laundry room. Clothes come out with stains and residue. Dryers charge money but do not dry. Management refuses to acknowledge the problem. Also, if you're the only one doing laundry in the laundry room, you'd think a dryer would be available to you because you'd be next to use the dryer. This is not the case, because many people wash their clothes in their apartment, then take them to the laundry room and dry them. Therefore, some days you can't schedule time to move your clothes from the washer to the dryer. Laundry is an all day activity in Boca. The second main floor is hot water. Some floors only have return pipes and not supply pipes. If you have free units around, you can wait 10 to 30 minutes for hot water. I was without hot water for up to 8 months with no support from my landlord or management to fix the problem or get a refund. Finally, smell is a big problem. There is illegal drug use and dog poop everywhere in Boca and management refuses to aggressively address the problem. I have checked the evidence using the survey method and many landlords complain about the noxious smell of cannabis in common areas. Bored people with their dogs refuse to choose. And there seems to be more crime than usual. Everyone I meet seems to have a problem with crime. ie a stolen bicycle, a motorcycle damaged as a result of an attempted theft, car break-ins. This happens on site. I heard that now Boca is making their video cameras. (It seems their motto is to close the store after a horse is stolen.) Management says security can't call the subway police unless it's an emergency. They do little to enforce laws and regulations and care little about tenants. However, the conscience is polite, helpful and empathetic.
A year and a half ago I was looking for an apartment and left with a fully loaded townhouse. I have been a renter most of my life. This is my first rental from a company managed property. (I usually rent directly from the owners.) The staff here is professional and courteous. The facility is clean and very well maintained. It's also surprisingly quiet considering the number of residents. 24-hour security is excellent to prevent unwanted people from entering our private space. The walls are extremely thick, so you and your neighbors never get in each other's business, if you know what I mean. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are spa-like. Those who like a little elbow room when it comes to cooking needn't worry, as the updated kitchen is spacious with plenty of counter space and storage. While I personally don't use many of the amenities offered, I like that they are available. For those with four-legged family members, you'll be happy to know that this luxury property is also pet-friendly. I absolutely love that the building is pre-wired for cable and satellite. I've never been a fan of cable, so having that option is a huge plus! The location is perfect. It's close but not too close to the crazy strip and minutes to supermarkets, restaurants, malls and several interstates. Living here makes it easy to forget you're in the desert.
