Emergency Financial Assistance For Military Families

When a crisis arises for a military family, the Red Cross provides emergency connections that connect active duty and active duty members and families through the Red Cross Hero Care Network. Hero Care Network is free, confidential and offers 24/7/365 help.

Rent & Mortgage Assistance

In the event of an emergency (serious illness, death or birth) involving an immediate family member, military families can initiate a request for emergency Red Cross assistance and the Red Cross will verify and deliver the message.

Through the Hero's Care Network, the Red Cross works with military aid communities to connect eligible service members, retirees, veterans and their families with financial assistance in times of need. This assistance may include funds for emergency travel, food and shelter. The Red Cross helps facilitate the application process and the Military Assistance Community determines eligibility and offers a financial package.

Food Insecurity Among U.s. Veterans And Military Families
