Easiest To Use Cell Phones For Seniors - Whether you're looking for a stylish touchscreen smartphone or a simpler device for talking and texting, a good cell phone keeps seniors connected to family, friends and the world. And with 92 percent of those 65 and older owning a cell phone, manufacturers are taking note by designing streamlined devices that meet their needs.
For this list, we focused on phones that were very easy to use, looking for features like easy navigation, voice commands, large buttons, and modest prices. The lack of long-term contracts definitely earned bonus points too!

The Best Burner Phones In 2023
When it comes to usability, there are a few features we look for. Each of the phones listed below is advanced in its own right, but they all have some features that make them really usable.
After hours of research and testing, we've narrowed the field down to five very basic phones. Here is a collection of the easiest cell phones for seniors in 2023:
Combining traditional phone design with advanced medical alert features, the Jitterbug Flip2 is modern yet classic. If you need a simple phone that is easy to use, this is a great option.
With a classic clamshell design, the Flip2 has large, tactile buttons in addition to dedicated buttons for speaker, power and quick response. If you're connected to an eligible plan, the red emergency button will connect you to trained monitoring agents who can determine your location and send emergency help.
The Beautiful, Impossible Dream Of A Simpler Smartphone
Compared to previous Jitterbug phones, the Flip2 is particularly easy to use thanks to its Amazon Alexa feature. By activating this feature, you can send messages, call contacts, set reminders and search for information - just use your voice. For example, I can ask my phone to give me the weather forecast, the time of movie shows and the location of nearby grocery stores.
In terms of plans, you can choose 300 talk minutes and 10 cents per text for $14.99 per month, or you can get unlimited talk and text for $19.99 per month. Features such as emergency response and medication reminders require an additional monthly fee.

While it may differ from many of the features of the smartphones on this list, the Consumer Cellular Link II is an ideal option for those looking for an affordable phone that can make calls, send messages, and last for days on a single charge. last .

Available in black or red, the Link II looks like a traditional flip phone. It has a small screen on the outside that shows the date, time and information for incoming calls. The large internal screen has simple menus and a large keyboard.
Although the Link II offers little in the way of advanced features—there are no voice commands or app stores—it does what it does with great care. Calls come through loud and clear, messages are easy to send and view. This phone also lasted about eight days before we charged it.
In terms of plans, this phone can be bundled with any of the consumer cellular and text plans that start at $15 per month for unlimited talk. Messages and data cost extra; however, with this phone, there is little need for a data plan.

The Best Smartphones For 2023
With a bright screen, large text, and simplified menus, the JitterBug Smart3 makes its advanced functions convenient and intuitive. I could see even the most non-tech savvy person using this phone with ease.
While smartphones aren't known for being the easiest to use, the Smart3 makes it easy with its large, bright screen and list-based menus. On the main screen you will see all its functions - phone, messages, camera and internet - neatly arranged. Activating any of these features is as easy as tapping on the touchscreen. I had no problem typing correctly, and the same goes for dialing the numbers.
I did not notice any problems during many test phone calls. Both call quality and volume were excellent, and all my calls both inside and outside my home went smoothly. The Smart2 also has voice dialing and messaging, so I could make calls and send messages using just my voice. The 13 MP camera on this phone is also impressive. Compared to the flip phones on this list, the Jitterbug Smart3 is in a league of its own in terms of image quality. You can also make video calls from this phone.
As with the Jitterbug Flip, the Smart3 must be paired with Lively's plan. Unlimited talk and text costs $19.99 per month, while data plans range from $2.49 to $30 per month. You can also purchase security features on a subscription basis.

Designed for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, a memory cell phone eliminates many of the functions you've come to expect from a smartphone. It can make and receive calls and store up to 30 contacts.
The beauty of this simplicity is that it is almost impossible to get lost or confused with this phone. The home screen displays the user's contacts along with large photos, making calling easier.
From the RAZ Care app, users can remotely add contacts and configure other functions of the memory phone.

In addition, the memory mobile can be managed via an online portal (accessible via a web browser or smartphone app). Through this portal, a loved one can add contacts and change phone settings. For example, by using the portal, we can adjust the volume of the ringtone or add a dial pad to the memory cell phone.
Combining the features of a smartphone with the streamlined design of a flip phone, the Alcatel GO FLIP 4 delivers an advanced yet streamlined experience. Let's start with the basics.
First of all, the call quality on this phone is very good, every conversation we have is heard loud and clear. When it comes to size, this slim device fits easily in a pocket or purse, but its 2.8-inch screen makes it easy to read. Even this phone lasted two weeks before needing a charge.
What sets the GO FLIP 4 apart from previous flip phones is its smart capabilities. With its 4GB of internal memory, you can download various apps, including Facebook and WhatsApp - something that is rare in flip phones. This phone's app store also offers weather and stock trading apps.

If you've only used flip phones, any smartphone will seem a bit complicated; however, for those who are not afraid of a little learning curve, the iPhone SE is a versatile device with useful features and a great camera.
If you've heard of Apple's iPhones, you already know how they can do everything a computer can do, from high-quality photos to surfing the web and checking e-mail. However, what makes the iPhone SE particularly noteworthy is its built-in voice assistant called Siri. With Siri, you can access almost every feature of this phone using just your voice. This makes it very easy to use.
As with all iPhones, the SE has a high-quality camera that's great for taking photos and video chats. It also has a loud speaker and access to the Apple App Store, where you can download a number of useful apps, including medication manager, step counter and news.
Cell Phones In School: 11 Reasons Why They Should Be Allowed
IPhone SE can be used on any network you choose; however, if you plan to use its Internet features (including the App Store and video calls), we recommend choosing one of T-Mobile's unlimited plans.
Currently, T-Mobile offers a trio of plans for those over 55. Starting at $27.50 per month, T-Mobile's great plans take most of the stress out of choosing a wireless carrier. Not only do they offer unlimited talk, text and data (perfect for avoiding harmful overage charges), but they also don't have annual service contracts. These plans are a great and easy way to get the most out of the phones detailed here.
