International Research Internships For Undergraduates - Offers a 10-week intensive summer research internship, in partnership with the MIT Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences (MIT BCS), to advanced undergraduate students from institutions with limited research opportunities to introduce women, underrepresented minority group students, first generation students , students with disabilities, and students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to the fields of computing and cognitive neuroscience. The ultimate goal of this summer program is to provide students with a solid research experience in preparation for graduate school and encourage them to pursue careers in the brain. science. Students will be paired with a faculty mentor, conduct supervised graduate-level research, attend seminars, GRE preparation courses, and present their summer research. Participants will also have many opportunities to meet professors in various fields of neuroscience. The number of internships available is limited. Students who are accepted into this program will receive a competitive stipend, on-campus housing, and a travel allowance.
