Best Planners For Law Students - 20 days until Law School classes start! I am in the OCD category. First order of business: find a good planner to keep me sane in law school. I have always been a Planner user. I find that writing down my life and my responsibilities helps me stay organized and get things done. With that being said, my search for the perfect planner to fit my needs has been elusive. My requirements are a little higher: beautiful, not too much, student-friendly, simple design, designed for my needs, not too expensive.
I did a lot of research on top designers in my search for the perfect one. My senior year of undergraduate splurged on the famous Lilly Pulitzer Planner. Although it was cute, it didn't suit my needs and I ditched it for a small leather one I found at T.J. As much as $5. Those plans weren't perfect by any means, but they got me through the course. In preparation for law school, I started researching again. I tried Bullet posts since it's a Tumblr problem, but I couldn't get it to work. It was a lot of work and I quit before it really helped me. This time I came across Erin Condren's Life Planner, which seemed like a great multi-tasker, but the price was a little high.
Best Planners For Law Students
Enter, Plum's best plan. Cheaper than EC planner, beautiful, customizable, and well designed for students. I read a few comments from other law students about the program and searched their website for all the options and was sold within minutes. I usually wait until I make a decision to see if I change my mind. In this case, I chose the cover, design, and a few plugins and ordered faster than you can say "Plum Paper."
Daily Planner Template
Call me primitive but I like to have personal/one-of-a-kind products. Having something that is beautiful and unique for some reason makes me want to use that item and since I HAVE to use planners to stay organized, I want to be beautiful and beautiful. I love that Plum Paper offers so many beautiful designs and customization options. I chose to have my name and monogram on the cover. The designs I have chosen are clean and bright and stylish. It's cute and I like to take it out whenever I can because it makes me smile.
Plum Paper offers a real student schedule, but I didn't choose it because it was too expensive in addition to all my studies and it didn't allow real life to fit into the schedule as much as I wanted. I chose a full-time planner in the morning-afternoon and night-stand mode. This helps me divide my day into study time, classes, free time, etc. I have plenty of room for classwork, meetings, and study schedules, as well as appointments, bills, and other events in my life. I love the monthly layout so I can see the big picture of what my month will be about and the goal/task setting page at the beginning of each month. I ordered the 7x9 size and it's perfect, big enough to write anything but small enough that it doesn't take up too much space in my pocket or purse.
This plugin made it a winner for me. I decided to add a monthly to-do list to the planning section of the blog. I think this will help me stay organized and keep everything in one place: school, blog, life, activities. Being able to add this made Plum Paper my go-to planner. In future plans, you can add additional features like exercise planner, bill tracker, and who knows what else. The options are endless for a lifetime group (wow, that shows my OCD loud and clear).
The use and abuse of my plans so I had to make sure that this would be fixed. I read many reviews and never saw any concerns about stability. When I received my organizer, it has my own plastic protection on the front and nice, sturdy screws that hold everything together. We'll get back to you on this when I'm done, but I'm confident that Plum Paper will survive my school year.
The 9 Best Wall Calendars Of 2023
For the level of customization, plugins, and quality that Plum Paper offers, you can't beat the price. The starting price is $31 and with my blogging plugins and sites to do, my total shipping was $46.25. I know I said $50 for an EC planner was too much and then went and spent the same on Plum Paper, but the difference is I got what I wanted and needed. The EC designer felt that I was paying for a name and getting something that should fit my needs. With Plum Paper, it is tailored to my exact needs from the start. That is, in my opinion, any price.
As you can see, my choice in the process was the process. I did a lot of thinking and research, and luckily I ended up with what I think is the best plan for my journey to law school. Also for any other 1L students who want to get organized, I recommend the Plum Paper Planner. Please allow at least 3 weeks for your planner to arrive. My planner took 2 weeks to arrive and you wouldn't want to close it because you didn't have time to go to school.
In general, I am very satisfied with my plan! Thank you Plum Paper for this amazing product. Also, thanks for the sweet handwritten note, that's customer support! Now, I'll go back to my design and color placement. Oh how I love a well organized coloring page 🙂 Even though I was in the upper grades for most of my high school years, it wasn't without hard work. I had many friends who were smarter than me. So, as you can imagine, I had to work very hard to continue in the top class.
I believe I remember good times like going on our amazing school field trip and laughing so hard with my friends in high school. But unfortunately, what I remember the most is that I was very worried during those years.
How The Bullet Journal Can Make You A More Productive Student
I don't know much about education in the United States. But in Malaysia, students were given tons of homework, in addition to our extracurricular activities, sports, clubs, or parties, not to mention extra classes in math, English, and Malay. Although this was not necessary, many people I know, myself included, would have an extra class or two outside of school.
In Malaysia, we have challenges that we are always forced to face. We had 7-10 lessons to study throughout the year and most of them were compelling, even if they didn't make sense to us or help us in any way in the future. 🙁
The teachers didn't give us a break either. Sometimes they do, but maybe only a few times. They also saw us as lazy and punished us if we didn't do our homework after the holidays.
I was so happy that I almost burst because I felt like I was out of prison!
Gifts For Law School Graduation (24 Ideas!)
So when I started my design studies at a good university in Malaysia and then went to New Zealand to further my studies in design, I was happier than ever because I could be in my professional community, doing what I LOVE and I'm natural at. Good inside.
Then my children started primary school and I was very surprised when I found out that the education here is not the same as at home. Honestly, it was a breath of fresh air! I don't know much about the US, but I think it might be similar because it's still within Western education.
I LOVE education here because I feel like people and developed. I don't want to compare schools or make all schools in New Zealand or Western countries. However, I can share my thoughts and experiences at my children's school.
The first thing I noticed is that they care a lot about the mental and emotional health of the children here. Second, they are very intelligent in teaching, focusing on what would be most beneficial to children their age. Thirdly, it helps children focus on topics that interest them and encourages them to follow them.
