FAFSA corrections and updates: If you have not yet filed your 2021 tax return, file a FAFSA using the estimated numbers. Both incoming and returning students must update their FAFSA with the correct numbers when the taxes are ready. How To Apply For Financial Aid
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA ® ) is the first step toward receiving financial aid for college.
Completing and submitting the FAFSA is free and fast, and it gives you access to the largest source of financial aid to pay for college (Federal Student Aid). In addition, your FAFSA is used to determine your eligibility for California State and Cal Poly Pomona aid, and some scholarships may use your FAFSA information to determine your eligibility for their awards.
The FAFSA application becomes available every October 1st - and the priority application deadline is March 2nd (for the 2022-2023 academic year only, the application became available on October 1st, 2020 and the application deadline has been extended to April 1st, 2022).

For FAFSA applicants, you need an FSA ID, username, and password combination that allows you to electronically sign your FAFSA. If you are a dependent student, you should also ask your parents to request an FSA ID.

Financial Aid Office
All financial aid applicants are considered "independent" or "dependent." Dependent students must include information about their parents in the application.
