To be considered to have passed the CDL test, you must answer 80% of the questions correctly.
A CDL allows you to drive and operate vehicles included in a specific class for which the license was issued. For example, depending on what class of CDL you will have, you can drive any vehicle that weighs 26,000 or more for commercial use, transport hazardous waste materials, and drive a vehicle designed to carry more than 16 passengers.
To drive a bus, you must first have a Class C CDL along with a P endorsement. A P endorsement is required to drive a vehicle that carries at least 16 passengers. Once you get a P endorsement, you are qualified to get an S endorsement.
If you prefer to take a CDL training program, it usually takes about seven weeks to get your CDL Class A.
