Taking up an entire block, the Egyptian Rosicrucian Museum is quite an interesting place that takes you back to a time of seeds and pyramids. Within the complex is the iconic Rosicrucian Labyrinth, the Temple for the Rosicrucian Order, the Alchemy Exhibition and Garden and the Research Library, all of which are incredible to see.

Although, for me, the most impressive attraction of the whole complex is the Egyptian Rosicrucian Museum. It is said to have been built to resemble the Temple of Amun in Karnak, Egypt.

Sitting on a former mining site, Almaden Quicksilver County Park is a historic site, park, and cultural destination all in one beautiful location.

Once a vibrant mining town, with over 135 years of mining history and home to a community of over 1,800 miners and their families. Even today, there are remains of pits and mining structures in the area. Although they are not open for research, of course for safety.

However, you can still view them as you wander the park's many hiking trails and bike paths. We love the Hacienda Trail and the Timber Road Trail, both of which are great for relaxing away from the roads.

Founded over 120 years ago by the first Japanese immigrants, this is one of the best things to do while wandering around San Jose.

While you're here, be sure to visit the Japanese American Museum of San Jose and the San Jose Buddhist Church. Oh, and don't forget to visit the nearby Japanese Garden of Friendship, which is about a 10-minute drive away.

Then head to the San Pedro Square Market, home to a bevy of delightful vendors. They do everything from the most delicious sushi (Hyland House of Sushi), Nepalese momos (at Urban Momo) and tacos (at Loteria Tacos). It's very good.
