Located in the sandy entry pool and lazy river deck areas, two hot Tiki bars await! SandBox Bars is ready to serve you all the classic drinks and Tahiti Village signature cocktails during your stay.
Our sandy entry pool is unlike any other resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Maybe your kids want to build sand castles or you just want to feel the sand between your covered toes! Looking for a family hotel in Las Vegas? We've tried many, and Tahiti Village - just south of the famous Las Vegas Strip - is our favorite.
I found this resort and a friend asked for recommendations on Facebook for family hotels in Las Vegas. We both live in Utah where Las Vegas is an easy warm weather getaway. Three different people recommended Tahiti Village and I knew my family had to check it out. So, last October, we planned a fall vacation trip to Las Vegas and booked Tahiti Village.
I knew for sure that Tahiti Village was a family place when I heard a longtime friend calling me at the pool on the first day of our trip. She returns to Tahiti Village for a second year because her children love her so much. When we had a drink we went with a friend and his family. It was kind of a coincidence!

Tahiti Village is a non-smoking, non-profit resort located approximately two miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. It has family suites with full kitchens. Days spent relaxing by the large year-round pool and lazy river were everyone's favorite part. The resort offers a variety of daily activities, including art, root beer floats, quizzes, and movie nights.
Tahiti Village is located on Las Vegas Boulevard, about three kilometers south of the famous Las Vegas Strip. It's close enough to be easy, but not too close. It's close to McCarran International Airport, and it's a bit for us to see the plane land when you're sitting by the pool.
There are two shopping centers near Tahiti Village, with shops and restaurants. The City Square Mall is about a mile north. Smith's Food and Drug is about a mile south. If needed, the free shuttle offers regular trips to the mall and town square.
One bedroom has a king bed, sleeper sofa, full kitchen, large bath, large tub, and washer/dryer. Two-bedroom suites are also available. Wi-Fi is compatible.

Housekeeping is not included unless you are staying a minimum of seven nights. I usually leave a "Do Not Break" sign anyway, and that works for me. We have plenty of towels and kitchen cleaning supplies for our short stay.
We had planned a full day to spend time at the pool and it was the best day of our trip. Tahiti Village has a large heated swimming pool, two hot tubs and a lazy river. The swimming pool and the lazy river are separated from each other. We found the lazy river to be less crowded with much more shade. Tubes are provided.
Las Vegas is very hot in the summer, when shade and lots of water time are what you want. However, outside temperatures are cooler in October -- around 80 degrees F -- so lounge chairs are the first to go and many families are more comfortable in the pool.
Two hot tubs are open 24 hours a day. There is a family hot tub by the pool. The adults only hot tub is located across the lazy river.
Tahiti All Suite Resort, Las Vegas
The pool has a sandy beach entrance, volleyball net, and plenty of room for kids of all ages to spread out. There is a full service pool bar. Pool towels are provided in your room, not at the pool, which allowed us to keep the pool very clean with no confusion as to whether we had a seat or not.
My children (ages 14 and 11) are a bit too old for the arts and crafts offered at Tahiti Village. However, the effort was a top priority for my friend who has a younger daughter. Their family loves the activities and the pool so much that they rarely leave the resort during their stay.
Our building has a digital bulletin board with a full schedule of activities near the exits. This facilitates their planning.
Tahiti Village offers a free shuttle to the Tropicana and the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip. It is available every 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and midnight. Bring cash to tip your driver.

We used the bus during our stay and thought it worked well. The Tropicana or the Mirage is within walking distance of most popular attractions on the Las Vegas Strip.
I was grateful for the free shuttle, especially after we left Tahiti Village, but I also had tickets to the Shark Reef aquarium in Mandalay Bay. Even in the morning, the Las Vegas Strip can be busy and difficult to navigate. Free parking isn't as easy to find as it used to be.
Wiki Wiki Stop is a small convenience store near the lobby that sells coffee, snacks, and many other things you might need during your stay. When my son forgot his honey, we found one on Wiki Wiki. When my daughter had a sore throat and wanted some ice cream, she found the perfect pint on Wiki Wiki. We ate a short croissant for dinner (strange, but true) and we were able to buy extra from Wiki Wiki.
Tahiti Village has two on-site restaurants - Denny's and 17 Degrees South. We didn't try them as we have a full kitchen in our room. You can also relax at the Mahana Spa during your stay.
