F-1 students are not eligible for federal or state financial aid (including FAFSA, Cal Grant, Promise Grant/BOG Fee Waiver, AB 540 etc.).

SRJC now uses AwardSpring to manage all scholarship applications. Watch this video for a quick tour of the online application or a recording of our latest Scholarship Workshop. You can also check the Online Bulletin Board to see when scholarship applications are being accepted. The application process is competitive and awards are based on grade performance (GPA) and financial need. While freshmen are encouraged to apply, most scholarships require completion of 12 units or more with a 2.0+ GPA at SRJC. Applications are reviewed by an anonymous committee. Beginning in Fall 2021, students can apply for Doyle Scholarships! This is a great advantage for newcomers
F-1 students continue to attend SRJC, and our program is excited to offer this wonderful scholarship opportunity to our students.
Apply for the current semester at AwardSpring in August for Fall (deadline October 1) and in January for Spring (deadline March 1). Doyle scholarship applicants must be enrolled full-time at SRJC under F-1 visa/status. More information is available on the Doyle Scholarship website.
The SRJC Foundation receives donations from individuals, community groups, and organizations to provide scholarships to SRJC students. We are very fortunate that many donors have chosen to generously support SRJC students directly. Our scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, financial need, and leadership/service to the campus and community. By completing the application, students can be considered for over 250 scholarships, including the Sawubona Black Student Scholarship.

The Scholarship Office provides workshops to help students complete the online application and write their essays. Log into AwardSpring in January to apply for a scholarship for the following Fall semester, or in August to apply for the Spring semester. Scholarship applicants must be currently enrolled full-time and meet minimum GPA requirements at SRJC (varies by award).
As members of Study California, SRJC students are eligible and encouraged to apply for $1,000 in October. In fact, an SRJC student from Togo won the award in 2020! Check out the StudyCalifornia website for more information.

The AwardSpring application requires students to submit a personal essay to help the review committee understand why you are a good candidate for the scholarship. As an applicant, you should briefly describe your background, educational and personal journey to share with your scholarship provider, as well as your future educational and career goals. Application period: The open period is July 1, 2023 and the period is subject to the program, but the site encourages applications as soon as possible after the open period. The next intake period will be for Spring 2024 and Fall 2025, so you must be a student then.
Scholarship Offer: The ACI Foundation provides a variety of scholarships and scholarship opportunities and encourages applications from international students. You will find on the website that there is an application for all the programs and you will be able to choose which one you want to apply according to your skills.
The scholarship typically offers a $5,000 tuition award, but scholarship programs offer $10,000-$15,000, as well as access to contracts and other program participants and assistance in finding a mentor.

Scholarship Offer: This is a full scholarship to support women in STEM fields funded by Cards Against Humanity. There is a large panel of judges who select a winner each year. The scholarship will be awarded for up to four years or for the remainder of the successful undergraduate program.

Eligible: Any international student with a valid F1, M1 or J1 visa enrolled at a US university or non-profit university.
Scholarship Offer: This is a scholarship awarded by the credit card company Deserve to 25 international students each school year. Winners will have $1,000 sent directly to their school to help pay for their tuition. Winners are selected at random.
Eligible for: Bachelors, masters, and doctoral students currently pursuing a degree in one of 21 STEM disciplines from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom.
Scholarship Offer: This is a scholarship/fellowship offered by the Ministry of Defence. Those selected will receive full coverage of tuition and training costs, summer internship opportunities and guaranteed job offers upon graduation.
