"Our goal is to help keep health care costs affordable while maintaining affordable benefits for our customers," Sell added.
"Our hospitals are committed to providing high-quality, convenient care to the communities they serve. We work diligently to maintain strong relationships with several managed care companies. Over the past several months, we have renegotiated the terms of our partnership with Health Net managed care contracts at our six hospitals in Southern California.
"At the time of our last meeting, we were in full agreement on the terms of our contract. We do not know why Health Net terminated the contract and released inaccurate information to the public. We have negotiated payment rates with Health Net. We strongly agree with these six hospitals. We are shocked and disappointed by their public response. Our patients remain our top priority, and we will do everything we can to ensure they continue to receive the high-quality care they have come to expect from a Southern California hospital. . . ."
