Since the Intel-powered 11th Gen beast usually starts at $1,100, you've probably guessed that the $600 discount doesn't apply to an entry-level version.

You're instead looking at a high-end 16GB memory configuration equipped with a 256GB solid-state drive and an Intel Evo platform Core i7 processor, which would normally set you back a very hard-to-swallow $1,599.99.

At $999.99, the Surface Pro 8 still isn't a direct competitor to the likes of Samsung's Galaxy Tab A8 or Apple's new "regular" iPad for the title of best budget tablet available this holiday season. Although it's even cheaper with a $100 discount for Black Friday, the Surface Go still has premium details like Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and an 1800x1200 touchscreen resolution.

With this deal, Microsoft is matching Best Buy's Black Friday promotion on the base Surface Pro 7. It has an Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, and a 12.3-inch 2736x1824 touchscreen. turn it from a tablet into a convertible laptop.

You can get a 15.6-inch laptop with the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i3-1005G1 processor for less than $300 in this deal. It also has 8GB of RAM and a 128GB solid-state drive and is configured to run Windows 10 in S mode to extend battery life, although you can upgrade to the full version of Windows 10 for free.

If you need more power than HP provides above, this deal knocks $200 off the price of a laptop with a 10th-gen Core i7-1065G7 instead of a Core i3 chip. You still get 8GB of memory and a 15.6-inch screen, but the solid-state storage is quadrupled to 512GB.

It seems that almost every retailer offering Black Friday deals on PCs has some gaming laptops for sale. In Microsoft's case, it has a pair that come in under $1,000 for budget-conscious gamers. The Lenovo Legion Y540 features an Intel Core i7-9750H processor, 8GB of RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics, along with a 15.6-inch Full HD display and a generous 512GB SSD and 1TB hard drive.

The other budget gaming laptop from Microsoft's Black Friday offering includes onboard storage (just a 256GB SSD), but doubles the amount of RAM to 16GB. Otherwise, Asus uses the same processor and graphics card, while providing a similarly sized Full HD screen.
