Now that the hotel is open, it will support regular hotel, hospitality and tourism related jobs. People working in these jobs will have the right to union job security if they choose, thanks to a master labor agreement between UNITE HERE and Hyatt. To date, Hyatt has employed 120 non-executive staff. Almost half of them are employed by the First Chance program, which favors people affected by the historical injustice of past racist decisions, such as the construction of I-5 and Memorial Coliseum.
