Nellis Cab Company Las Vegas Nv - Nellis Cab along with many other cab companies have gotten away with this type of false advertising over the years. Just once!! I would love to show a Las Vegas cabdriver W-2 a cool 60 a year! I mean a real W-2 not this scam with tips and kickbacks. I know about the old days of cab driving because I used to drive there and it was a time when the money and the kicks were good but for Nellis to get away with blunt bs these days is a crime.
I know I get an average of $17 fares in Orlando, so that's only 24.1ish fares per day.

As we do not include tips/kickbacks. You have to include it, and if they say $60,000 a year you can bet anything they include tips. Tips are a significant part of my daily income as a taxi driver. Maybe $50-100 a day at the resort.
A 7-day cab fare in Orlando is as low as $700, or about $950-$1000 with all expenses.
Divide that by 7 and you only need $322 per day. Divide that by the $17 fare and your fare is 19 a day, and at 1.5 an hour you're in 13 days.
Stevie the Magic Unicorn said: You never know... $60,000 divided by 52 = $1,153 per week Let's call that a 5 day per week profit of $230 per day. Now let's add $180 in expenses (based on Orlando cab driving expenses) $410 Can I bring in a total of $410 per day? I know I get an average of $17 fares in Orlando, so that's only 24.1ish fares per day. Guess what bro.. I work for a cab company in Orlando I can make $400 a day. Second rent is $410 per day with income. It is also possible that the cab fares in Las Vegas are not very high, who knows. So that's $60,000 a year using Orlando's math and a 5 day work week. Let's call it a 6 day work week. $1, 153 divided by 6 = $192.17 profit per day. + $180 per day at a cost of $372 per day, dividing the cost by the $17 rent is $22 per day. $372-410 per day? This is not possible in Orlando. not really. As we do not include tips/kickbacks. You have to include it, and if they say $60,000 a year you can bet anything they include tips. A 7-day cab fare in Orlando is as low as $700, or about $950-$1000 with all expenses. $1000 + $1153 = $2253 Divide this by 7 and you only need $322 per day. Divide that by the $17 fare and your fare is 19 a day, and at 1.5 an hour you're in 13 days. Math is not that far off. Now to say that an Uber driver makes $60,000 a year is ridiculous. Click to expand... The Las Vegas taxi business is unlike any other taxi business. This is an ad that an employee will be hired as a taxi driver because employees make up about 30 percent of the meter, assuming $30 per meter per meter. Now it can be lower for each driver's deductible for his or her dependents. Now I know there are many math challenged drivers out there who would like to dispute this but stand by my statement that no one will provide actual evidence (of course W2 blocks sensitive information) Remember we only Talking about Las Vegas Taxi Driving.

Their best management is high book pressure based on corruption and cooked averages, maybe a tie and a desert cab.

Every so often we on the Las Vegas Forums have someone post about going to Vegas so we can turn all that great rideshare gold into gold referring to this person and the Orlando taxicab market.

$60,000 grand full time is possible, because taxis aren't allowed to return early, they force you to be there 11.5 hours a day, and like the desert, they encourage long trips etc... if your The book is not equal, which is high in Nellis. I was looking at driver sheets one time and some joker did 8 rides for $640 and my desert rating was going to get me in trouble. But they put you in high quality cars and don't rush maintenance.
And they include your kicks etc in that amount, so technically it's not a lie, although I agree with the OP, its fallacy ****.

I think they are putting fictitious kickback numbers out of their *ss because there are no drivers reporting real kickback numbers - especially not from cab companies.
Kickbacks have decreased significantly since pre-Covid and last summer. Gone are the days of $100+/man at the strip club. The best you can hope for is $60 and that's pretty low right now.
