The claim settlement ratio is an indicator of the number of claims that the Health Insurance Company settles in each financial year. It is calculated as the total number of claims received divided by the total number of settled claims. For example, Life Insurance receives 100 claims and settles 98 of them, then claims 98%. The remaining 2% of claims are rejected by Life Insurance.

In such a case, this period of 3 years starts from that date of renewal but not from the date of first issue of the policy.
