Discount Tire North Las Vegas - From an early age, Bruce Halle knew the definition of hard work. He was a proud Marine who served in the Korean War. Mr. Halle developed a simple business philosophy: treat others as you would like them to treat you; always give the customer a good deal; surprise the customer with unexpected benefits; building your customer base through word of mouth; and have fun. Over the years, Mr. Halle built the largest and best-known tire business in the country, but Tire Tech never lost sight of its early years in the bays.
Every day we honor Mr. Halle's legacy and his 5 life lessons: Be honest, work hard, have fun, be thankful and pay it forward. This explains why veterans thrive in our community: they know the importance of backing each other and appreciate mentoring, reliability and integrity. Through our defined career path, we will do our best to highlight your strengths and help you grow.

Stephanie Siverston, the company's chief financial officer, said Lee died of pancreatic cancer on Friday. He was diagnosed with the disease in October.
"I can't say enough good things about him," Siverston said. "He's like a father figure to a lot of people."
Lee immigrated to the United States from South Korea and opened his first liquor store, Plaza Liquor, on Spring Mountain Road in 1981. With 22 stores, Siverston's is the largest liquor chain in Las Vegas, with the company's other locations in Mesquite, Reno and West Wendover.
In a company statement Saturday afternoon, Lee was named a distinguished member of the charitable community that has donated millions of dollars to organizations in southern Nevada.

Siverston said Lee's family was devastated by his death, adding that the 79-year-old "fought the good fight" after being diagnosed with cancer.
"I think we all knew he was comfortable but we all thought he was going to win," he said.

"He actually slept in his first store, he wanted to stay on the property," Ruvo said. "He really believed he was going to make it in Las Vegas. He grew his business very persistently and looked for ways to expand throughout the valley. He was passionate about giving back to the community. He was unstoppable. It was a classic immigrant success story."
Over the years, Lee has made generous donations to Keep the Memory Alive, the philanthropic arm of the Cleveland Clinic's Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
"He was a steadfast friend and loyal friend for decades," Ruvo said. “He later became a fan of the Vegas Golden Knights. We used to go to games together. This is a great loss for our city."
According to the company's recent Facebook post, Lee has donated to several charities and founded the nonprofit Lee's Helping Hand Foundation in the early 2000s to support organizations like Opportunity Village, New Vista Ranch, and Spread the Word Nevada.
