True Annual Dues
Only Active Members (membership type AC-1) or NEA Life Members (membership type AC-7) who teach in a local affiliate in one of the seventeen member units can be nominated for these positions. The nine open units include E, F, H, J, K, L, M, P & Q.

The permanent committees of the -pensioners are appointed by the -pension president on the advice of the council after the -pension annual meeting in May. This usually takes place in June with an additional session in September. The terms are for one year from August 1.
