The Texas Department of Transportation is responsible for maintaining the toll roads. When drivers use the toll lanes, they see signs alerting them to several tag options, including the Harris County Toll Road Authority's EZ TAG and the state's TxTag.
Where To Install Ez Pass On The Tesla Model S
"TxDOT and the Harris County Tollway Authority have a mutual agreement," Harris County Judge Ed Emmett said. "Any Texas tag, TxTag EZ TAG, anything that works in the state of Texas will work here."
This agreement allows organizations to share a portion of your changes. However, the marks differ in terms of value and penalties.
You can get tags online, over the phone, or in person, even if you've never been there.
State TxTag requires a $20 upfront fee. The Harris County EZ TAG requires a $40 down payment plus a $15 activation fee.
New Tag Allows Drivers To Pay Tolls In 19 States
The government does not require you to maintain a minimum balance, but if your account has no problems making payments, you will receive a violation.
EZ TAG recharges your account every time it reaches 25 percent of your initial deposit. The government allows you to use cash, credit, your bank account or a financial plan to raise your tag.
As for penalties, repeat offenders are publicly cited under Texas law. Plus, in just a few months, your 65 cent interest could jump to over $300 if you're unpaid.
Harris County has penalties that can also increase, but are not part of state law. Hello everyone, looking for a little help from those with experience. I am. 2018 K1600GTL that I want to put a Texas tag on. The instructions with the toll tag say bike with windshield, ride behind the windshield. I can't see as much as I can on the bike without messing with the wind control or the door to get the GPS out. Any advice on other places or how others have solved this is greatly appreciated.

They gave me a license plate and I keep it in my tank bag when I need to use it. When I'm not using it, I put it in the left sidebar (I don't know what the official name is).
If the car brand was good, it would be easy to work. They sent me a motor that is bigger and I don't know why it is so big.
It would be worth asking if they would change. They sent me the license plate of the car themselves. After seeing what a motorcycle license plate looked like, a car license seemed fine.

One day the rest of the US will be caught up in Florida's behavior. No transponders, nothing, they read your plate and pay your bill.

I'm in Houston. I don't have the transponder anywhere except in my purse. He takes my plate away and I think. I've never had a problem with toll roads.
The TX logo I received is a very thin sticker that I plan to slide down between the windshield mounts when I get my 7Jurock. climb up there to prevent anyone doing well from removing it.
Toll 49 And Ethg
I have that plastic bag too. Fits perfectly in my Wunderlich cockpit bag.
Different size so it doesn't really work for the Op but it worked for me on the others. In the winter I had to flash a very long front fender and the corners at the top were very difficult. It had to be mounted upside down so the big end was on top, but it always worked. When the front panel is down, it reduces the risk of theft.
Unless someone comes up with a strong torx bit and removes the front fender and goes with it.
More directly, but if you have a transponder on your bike and your car and you tow your bike...do you pay for both?
I Was Peeling My Ntta Tolltag Off The Glass Because I Placed It Wrong And A Part Of The T Ripped Off. Is That Ok? Will It Still Work In The Tolls? :

I've run NTTA Toll Tags motorcycles inside plastic panels on my Triumph and BMW. He has never made a registration mistake while driving at a toll booth. I was thinking that if the steering wheel goes through the safety glass of the car or the thick plastic windshield, it should also go through the thin plastic part. This has been working flawlessly for me for four years. Instead of relying on self-adhesive plates, I attached them to the inner panels from the back with a few lines of packing material. On the BMW, I put the sign on the back of the front panel (see below in red).
In NC's EasyPass on Motorcycle, they send a small clear sticker that you place under the headlight. It's like a 4" long strip. It seems to work well and doesn't look bad.
I live in Dallas and have been told to put stickers on my car or kitchen utensils. I tied it to the top of the trunk lid. This was the case with 3 Harleys and one K1600.
Just place it in the small room on the bottom left. I don't take it out and it works fine. I have a Houston EZ Tag and it works everywhere in Houston and works great on 130 in Austin too.

I never attached it to my bike. It's in a closet in my garage. They leave my plate. I've been walking down the street in Dallas this way since 2012, no problem here.
I also don't think they can read my bike's license plate, so many missed charges. HAHAHAHA

During this time I added my permit number to all the toll booths and kept the tags in my jacket pockets. Only one place was not read correctly. Unfortunately, it was accompanied by a metal barrier.
How To Skip The Toll Road Fees When Visiting Texas
And the funny thing is that we have to have four or more tags to get the US right. Just make sure everyone participates. That's what computers do...
This is an old thread, you may not get a reply and you can restart the old thread. Please consider creating a new topic. Getting around Houston isn't easy, but it's a lot easier when you put an EZ tag in your car and navigate the freeways. Goodbye, breastfeeding!
But what is the difference between EZ Tag and TxTag? Can't you just pay with cash if you don't have it? And where can you find it?
That sentiment, shared by newcomers and Houstonians alike, was briefly discussed on the social networking site Reddit earlier this year, when a frustrated user wrote on the /r/Texas subreddit: "Your toll roads confuse and frustrate me."
